The Fish Coming to 2009 Aquafest!!
The 2009 Aquafest committee is proud to announce the exciting opening of this year’s Celebration.

Friday is the beginning of surprises “The Fish” has in store for Aquafest goers young and old.  Beginning July 24, from 3-6PM - Main Street in downtown Lake Stevens becomes the stage for a live AM Sports Radio KRKO broadcast featuring popular radio talk show host Jeff, “The Fish”, Aaron.

Friday night “The Fish” will be performing a set in the Kiwanis Beer Garden.  Then Saturday night “The Fish” will entertain festival crowds with surprise guests during a ‘set’ on North Cove Park’s stage that will conclude with the spectacular, and 365 day awaited, Aquafest Firework Show.

Sunday Jeff will continue to dazzle residents of Lake Stevens with his skills and aptitude in the American Pastime and you are invited!  Come cheer him on during this year’s First Annual Celebrity softball game. Celebrities to be announced…Opponents to be a surprise.

Aquafest 2009: Rush To the Gold
The Aquafest 2009 dates have finally been set.  Mark your calendars for July 24th, 25th and 26th, 2009.  This year will mark the 49th Annual Aquafest and we are happy to have provided such a great community event for the previous 48 years.

The festival theme for 2009 will be "Rush to the Gold".  Look for information about our annual T-shirt logo contest coming soon, and you can help us create that special look for this years event.

Three local businesses and community leaders have joined the Aquafest 2009 board with new events scheduled for this July 24th, 25th and 26th. Sporting an Olympic based theme of “Rush to the Gold”, Aquafest is pleased to announce the following events:

Aquafest Coed Softball Tournament
Join us for the first annual Aquafest Coed Softball Tournament! Progressive Fitness owners and event co-chairs Chris Lyons and Jacob Taylor, are inviting local businesses, churches, neighborhoods and watering holes to field a team for a weekend of competitive play. Scheduled on the fields at Lake Stevens High School, a shuttle will be provided to transport you and your team, between games, to downtown Lake Stevens.

Try Rowing with the Lake Stevens Rowing Club
Hosted throughout Aquafest weekend by the Olympic Medal winning coaches and staff of the Lake Stevens Rowing Club, this is your chance for your friends and family to experience rowing on beautiful Lake Stevens. Rowing times will vary throughout the weekend, and pre-registration is encouraged. All rowing will begin and end in The Cove in Downtown Lake Stevens. Training will be provided and information can be found by contacting the Lake Stevens Rowing Club at www.LakeStevensRowing.com.

Aquafest Tennis Tournament
The return of an Aquafest classic! Please join us for the 2009 Aquafest Tennis Tournament, held at the Lake Stevens High School and Cavelero Mid High. Jon Brady, local community leader and Tennis enthusiast, is hosting a three day, high energy, singles, doubles and mixed doubles tournament. Information on the event will be posted soon or feel free to contact Jon at tennis@aquafest.org. All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Lake Stevens High Tennis Program.
