2011 BECU Children's Parade
The Children's Parade sponsored by BECU is the kick-off event on Friday night
July 29th and is expected to attract hundreds of kids and parents. Families,
church groups, preschools, pets, bikes, scooters, wagons and small motorized
vehicles are all welcome to participate. Participants are encouraged to dress
and decorate with this year’s theme - "The Spirit of Lake Stevens".
Each participant will receive a carnival ticket (good for one ride),
candy and popsicle (donated by Jay's Market).
Registration forms for the Children's Parade are available at
City Hall, Lake Stevens Journal, Foster Press and the Lake Stevens
Library. Pre-registration is strongly recommended but you can also
register at the parade. All pre-registered children will receive a
“Purple Pom Pom.”
Staging for the Children's Parade begins at
5pm on Friday in the triangle in front of the Fire Hall at
Hartford and Grade Road. Parade begins at 6pm and proceeds down
Main Street to 18th Street, East on 18th to 125th, North on
125th ending on 20th Street NE. Popsicles
will be handed out at the end of the parade.
