Contest"
Sahara Pizza
is proud to sponsors the 2007 Aquafest Pizza Eating
Contest.
So
what do you do when you have kids who are hungry? Of course,
send them to Aquafest and let them pig out on pizza.
This had to be the years most
hysterical contest. Who doesn't love watching contestant jam
pizza into their mouth in hopes of winning cash. Don't you love
America?

The Pizza Eating contest will start
at 1:30 Sunday (Family Fun Fest). This year it is for kids only and
the age groups are:
There will not be any pre-registration.
To participate the kids just need to come to Family Fun Fest at 1:30
and bring their parent to sign the Permission form.The Official Rules
- Contestants will compete to see who can eat a
pizza the fastest; each participant must
sign a
liability form before participating.
- Contestants will be given a
whole cheese pizza to consume as fast as they can.
- There will be a contest starter
who will give the cue to start the race; there will be judges
watching the race to shout encouragement and help determine a
winner.
- You may use any technique to
consume the pizza the fastest way you can. (fold it, double up, dip
it, one slice at a time, etc.) Water will be provided as the only
drink allowed during eating.
- The winner will be the first to
completely finish all contents of the Pizza box - that means crust
included. Cheese remaining on the bottom of the box must be judged
to be of a nominal amount (if in doubt, just eat it).
- Upon finishing, the eater will
stand up and shout ‘Done!’, thus displaying an empty mouth to the
judges. You are done when the last bite goes down, your mouth is
empty, and you are able to clearly articulate and shout the word
‘Done’.
- If it is “too close to call” the
winner will be determined by the judges.
- Yupping (or otherwise losing the
contents of your stomach) is not allowed. Buckets will be provided,
just in case, but a loss of anything other than composure will
result in disqualification.
